Anchored around a new collection of London cityscapes, Wendy Brooke-Smith’s artwork delves into the multiple personas of the River Thames—whether busy and blustery or calm and serene. Her paintings depict the Thames as both a boundary and a bridge, revealing its secrets during low tide and dramatically altering the way we perceive the City surrounding it.

In addition to her London-themed works, Brooke-Smith presents a striking portfolio of pieces inspired by her time sailing along the British and Irish coastlines. Her "life on the edge" paintings capture the resilience and resourcefulness of those living on the fringes, drawing parallels between these remote environments and the bustling metropolis of London.

Brooke-Smith’s process involves developing initial ideas through charcoal drawings before translating them into finished works in acrylic and oil. Several charcoal studies, including a large series depicting views from Tower Bridge, will also be part of the exhibition.

A graduate of UCS with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, Wendy Brooke-Smith’s work is part of numerous private and corporate collections across the UK.

Don’t miss this chance to experience the beauty, depth, and dynamism of Brooke-Smith’s unique vision.
